The provincial Special Investigations Unit is asking for the public’s “continued patience” as it probes the circumstances of an incident near Lindsay, Ont., Thursday where a one-year-old boy was shot and killed and the boy’s father and an Ontario Provincial Police officer were hurt. A post-mortem is scheduled for the boy, while the father remains in Toronto hospital.
