Canadian inmates still face isolation amounting to torture, experts say

Officially, solitary confinement has been abolished in Canadian prisons, but two researchers say some prisoners still experience what amounts to torture while in isolation, and an investigation by Radio-Canada’s Enquete has found the system is being used more often and for longer periods than intended.
