Drought leads to cricket explosion in Manitoba, where serenading insects exhaust residents

Crickets are springing up en masse in Manitoba this summer due to a drought and hot, dry weather, according to a Winnipeg entomologist. Some exterminators are hiring more staff just to keep up with the demand from exhausted residents who want to be rid of the noisy insects.
